A look at the sport of baseball from the framework of a game played between the Baltimore Orioles and the Milwaukee Brewers in Milwaukee on June, 10, 1982. Review - Nine Innings

I recently read Power Ball, by Rob Neyer, which was obviously derived from this book by Okrent, using almost the exact same formula to explore baseball in 2017. The difference is that Neyer's book was interesting and entertaining throughout, while Okrent's was often just dull. I had to plod through a lot of sections and it felt like a really slow read. It's hard to make baseball writing boring for me, but Okrent managed. It it wasn't baseball, and if there hadn't been occasional nuggets of interest, I might have given it up.
