Notes:Subtitle: Accidentally Finding Myself in One Very Big Year

The author began 2013 by doing a lot of birding to deal with his depression and to avoid committing to his girlfriend. He had so much success that he decided to make it a big year. He saw 749 birds, beating the old record by 1. (His record has since been blown away.) In the end, he'd found answers to his depression and asked his girlfriend to marry him.

Review - Lost Among the Birds

I started out not expecting to enjoy the book much, but it was pretty-well written and the accounts of birding were fun. The naval-gazing was less enjoyable to read about, but at least he asked the girl to marry him.
