Marshall Dick Marr has chased bank robber Britt Morgan's gang all over Oklahoma. He's in love with Belle Woodhall, daughter of a local rancher. Belle falls in love with Morgan and runs off to join his gang. She finds out he's already married, but she's already joined the gang in one robbery and so is wanted by the law. In a series of run-ins, Dick kills or captures all the gang, including Belle. She is sentenced to prison, but Dick gets the judge to put her on probation—if she'll be his wife. She realizes it's been Dick she loved all along and agrees.

Review - Outlaw on Horesback

Overly complicated plot and too many characters. That the daughter of a law-abiding rancher would run off with an outlaw—then refuse to sleep with him because he is married (and separated) from a wife—but continue to run with his gang, all of whom respect her and leave her alone ... well, it's just a stupid plot.

And that a marshal would so easily forgive a girl who rejected him for an outlaw and a life of crime and then offer her marriage to avoid jail and believe it meant anything ... well, he's just a moron.
