The plot was ... not so great. But as always, Wodehouse managed some great patches of funny writing.

| Notes: | Wilhelmina has several challenges. She needs to raise $20,000 so she can go into the literary agent business with her friend, Joe. She wants to convince her niece, Kay, to marry said Joe. And she wants her brother-in-law by marriage, Smedley, to marry her. To raise the money, she convinces the butler and ex-bank robber, Phipps, to break into her sister's safe and get a diary of an old movie star. Phipps does, but then decides to keep the diary for himself. Through clever persuasion, however, Wilhelmina manages to get every thing else she wanted. |
