The proper way to read Ogden Nash is a poem at a time, maybe a couple a week. Read all together, one right after another, as I did with this book, gets tiresome. I ended up cruising through them quickly without fully appreciating the clever rhymes and satire. Still, the man was always clever, often genius, and occasionally laugh-out-loud funny.
