I spotted the largest Brown Snake I’ve ever seen on the trail at Moraine Hills State Park — it was about 14 inches long. I picked it up and held it on the seat of the chair. It writhed around and looked aggressive, but never tried to bite me.
It finally settled down enough for me to get this shot.
After a few moments, it crawled off the back of the chair into the grass.
