We spent the day with friends. We arrived at Wrigley at 11:15, just in time for an Old-Timers Game. Our seats were in the third row in the bleachers in dead center. (This is the only time I’ve ever sat in the Wrigley bleachers.) Ronnie Woo-Woo was there in full voice, annoying us all.
During the game, this piece of ticker-tape blew out of the scoreboard and landed in my lap. It didn’t scan very well, but if I’m reading it correctly, the Padres were batting in the bottom of the third, leading the Phillies 2-0.
The Cubs lost 7-3.
