This old barn and a nearby stone house sit along Highway 100 between Grafton and Pere Marquette Lodge. And since there were no signs or people to tell me otherwise, I pulled over and walked around. The sign over the door says “Heastman 1816.” I’m not sure if that means the barn is that old.
There were sloppy piles of metal scrap covering the floor inside.
