I discovered this place a few years ago while looking on the Internet for good places for pie, but I’d never been there. I stopped by with my wife on a very cold, late Tuesday afternoon. It’s in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood, near downtown Chicago.
Most of the business must come from carry out, because, at best, the place could only sit eight at a time. We sat in a booth in the window, like living advertisements. We split a chicken pot pie, which was amazing. For dessert, my wife had the Hoosier Sugar Cream, which looked a bit gray and scary, but tasted delicious. I went with the lemon chess pie, which was good, but a little weird.
