Michigan City East Pier Light — Michigan City, Indiana

There may have been somewhere I could have gone to get closer to this light, but from where I was — touring the old Michigan City Lighthouse — my way was blocked by the fence around a Coast Guard station. And my view was obscured by fog.

The pier light was built in 1904. The light is 55 feet above the lake. It originally had a fog signal, but that has since been removed.
