Description:Pete (Richard Dreyfuss)is a fire-fighting pilot who likes to take chances, much to the chagrin of his gir Dorinda (Holly Hunter). One day, Pete takes a big chance to save his buddy Al (John Goodman), and goes down in flames.

Pete, now dead, meets an angel, Hap (Audrey Hepburn in her last role) who informs him that his job is to help his replacement, Brad. Pete can't be seen or heard, but he can influence a person's thoughts. This is fine until he realized Brad is falling for Dorinda. When Dorinda determines to fight a fire on her own, Pete has to decide whether to let her die and join him or save her so she can go back to Brad.

I saw this when it first came out and remembered it as OK. I watched it again because it's Audrey Hepburn's final role. She's wasted in this, and the movie is too sappy and theologically bankrupt to be enjoyable.
