Over the Rhine

The Over the Rhine Barnraising concert began a little after 7:00 and lasted for a good two hours. Linford Detweiler and Karin Bergquist performed with four musicians from The Band of Sweethearts. The additional instruments added a lot and I enjoyed the live versions of the songs more than the studio versions.

We were in the third row, which gave us an excellent look at the stage except when a woman in the front row repeatedly leaned into the aisle to take photos and videos.

They seemed to be enjoying themselves while performing, which made it very enjoyable for us.

The set included several of my favorites, including “All My Favorite People Are Broken,” “Trouble,” and “All I Need Is Everything.”  We thought it was really cool when, at the end of “All My Favorite People Are Broken,” Linford played “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.”
