Krider “World’s Fair” Garden

There wasn’t a great deal to Middlebury. After eating a piece of pie at Village Inn and wandering about looking at Amish buggies I still had time to spare. I discovered the Krider “World’s Fair” Garden. Krider Nurseries, a local business, planted a garden at the Century of Progress International Exposition in Chicago in 1933. After the fair, they brought some of the plants and structures back to Middlebury and created a public garden. It wasn’t large, but it was impressive.

Red Bird Soaring

I had a half hour or so to kill at lunch one day while I attended the seminar in Elkhart. I walked across the street to a strip mall parking lot and tossed Red Bird up in the air over and over until I got this shot with my phone.
