I’d been thinking about a prop for my photos for a while and had decided to get a chair. I imagined a cheap card table chair. When I drove to Freeport, Illinois, I had it in the back of my head to look for one — that’s part of the reason I walked into Luecke’s Antique Mall. The chair was tucked against the wall in the ballroom. At the last minute, I thought to take a photo of it where I found it.
