I walked around Lake Geneva again with three friends. It’s 20.6 miles around. It took us nine-and-a-half hours — beginning at 8:30 and finishing around 6:00 — including a leisurely hour for lunch in Fontana.
The weather was perfect for walking, 60 degrees and overcast with a few glimpses of sun. I didn’t take as many photos this time around.
Here’s a shot that gives a good idea of how large the lake is.

I’d like to take you up on that sometime. How about Christmas Eve?
Go ahead, take Tim on Christmas Eve, it means more cheese log for us.
I don’t think there are enough daylight hours on Christmas Eve — not to mention that Kelli would steal all our cheese log.
And another thing. Every house on the lake has a dock, and in the winter, every owner piles his dock in his yard (after all, these are all just “summer cottages”). So walking around the lake in December would be like walking through a lumber yard.
