So Much for Art. What About Poetry?

Some writers are also poets — Edgar Allan Poe springs to mind. I’m a writer, but I’ve never managed an even-moderately good poem. (Not that I’ve spent a great deal of time trying.) I think I’ve figured out my problem.

I’m not a poet, apparently.

I fail to rhyme unerringly.

My problem is, transparently,

I’m just plain bad, inherently.

Appreciate, if you will, that I used the always-tricky rhyme scheme A/A-ish/A/A.

I’m no poet either but wouldn’t that be A/A-ish/A/A-ish?
