We didn’t do much on Sunday afternoon except to enjoy the beautiful view and beautiful weather while eating leftover kringle and getting updates on the Packers and Bears games.
The cabin
Our cabin was decorated with bears. We had a contest to see which of us could find them all. None of us succeeded. When we compared our counts, we discovered there were 52. Here’s one of them.
A Common Loon, well along in its molt into winter plumage, spent a lazy couple hours drifting in the Wisconsin River off our stretch of shoreline. I didn’t see it doing anything very aggressive, but a couple grebes and a flock of Canada Geese sure kept their distance and scurried away quickly when the loon got too close.
