This coyote spent a couple hours on a Wednesday evening relaxing in the trees behind my yard. I raked my leaves into a pile on that spot last fall, and I imagine they were generating some warmth — I saw deer resting there a few times earlier in the winter.
My camera lens wasn’t up to the challenge, so I held my phone up to my spotting scope and got these shots.
