Dale and LuAnn Klein are to baseball fans what Beethoven is to composers. They’ve visited Major League parks, minor league parks and countless other baseball-related locations across the U.S. and Canada. I’ve been to games with them from Little Rock to Toronto and many stadiums in between. Recently, a group from work went to Philip B. Elfstrom Stadium to see the Kane County Cougars. Dale and LuAnn attend regularly and have gotten to know the usher in their section. A couple weeks ahead of time, Dale arranged with him to let us go down on the field before the game for photos. I set up the chair behind home plate and started taking pictures. (Click on the photo above for a second angle.)

I wanted to take more, but a security guard came over with a stern look on his face. You can see him in the green shirt in this photo I swiped from my sister’s blog. We probably could have argued our way to a few more shots, but I was giddy that I’d gotten there at all so I didn’t bother.
