We kept an eye on the western sky as we drove south. Finally, we couldn’t take it any more. We looked at the map and searched out a spot where we could access the lake shore. We ended up at Van Buren State Park, south of South Haven. We got to the beach just in time for the show.
I moved around looking for stuff to frame against the sky.
We were still three hours from home, but we beguiled the time with discussions on childhood memories, favorite movies and music and why the town of Covert announces itself on highway signs. I didn’t get to bed until 12:30 a.m., but it was a fantastic day, well worth the trip.
Those are really beautiful shots!
Yes they are!
cool!
