In September, I worked at a conference in a suburb of Dallas, Texas. I drove down with coworkers. It took us 19 hours, or something like that. We pulled off Interstate 44 west of Joplin, Missouri.
 
A little while later, we made a quick stop in Big Cabin. This statue, called Standing Brave, stood out by the road. It’s 51 feet tall and was put up in 2001.
