St. Elmo

We unintentionally rendezvoused with a whole bunch of other people at St. Elmo, the ghost town at the foot of Mount Princeton. It was too crowded to really enjoy. Fro about half an hour, we watched the Broad-tailed and Rufous Hummingbirds that were all over the place, then we left.

Rufous Hummingbird. They were coming to the feeders on a porch, out of the direct light, so it was tough to catch the fire-orange on the throat.

  1. Jeff Weddle says:

No one goes to ghost towns anymore because they’re too crowded.
